Small Solutions Big Ideas began in 2010 in response to the overwhelming challenges met by African countries with large youth populations and limited education resources. At that time there was no internet, no cell phones, no computers in schools. We answered that call and built a strong program by supplying laptops, internet, and new learning programs.
These are communities of small farmers that experience droughts and floods threatening their livelihoods. Their needs were discussed again at the recent COP29. What is our responsibility to these countries who contribute less than 5% of the carbon causing climate warming, yet suffer their lives and survival.? Our team must address this question in order to fairly support the lives of these children. The COP recommendations are that instead of giving loans, give grants to plant forests, build environmental assets. These children are part of that effort. We hope that you and environmental funders will consider grass roots groups who are on the ground and can manage projects in these communities.

Our Programs
Primary Education Programs
Since 2011, we have provided schools in Kenya with important resources, such as laptops, tablets, internet and learning tools and curriculums for technology, health, art, problem-solving, the environment and more.
Secondary School Scholarships
Contact Us to Support Secondary School Scholarships. Your help make it possible for youth to continue learning. We also refer to this as our Leadership Program, because this who we see emerging! This is a community of small farmers, suffering from the struggle to grow enough crops for their family. They often don't have funds for the children's education.
